The process starts with information about your company, products, intended users and planned EU sales channels. We identify the applicable legislation, review your existing compliance evidence and complete a gap analysis. You receive a clear roadmap showing the documents, tests, labels, registrations and economic operator arrangements required before launch. Products with complete documentation can move forward quickly, while products needing new testing or significant corrections require additional preparation.

We normally begin with your product description, intended use, model list, technical specifications and planned EU sales channels. From there we review your technical file, test reports, risk assessment, labelling, instructions and Declaration of Conformity. The exact documentation required differs by product and applicable legislation, so 24hour-AR provides a product-specific checklist after the initial assessment.

Existing test reports can support EU compliance when they cover the correct product models, address the relevant EU requirements and use accepted test methods or standards. US approvals such as FCC or UL do not automatically demonstrate compliance with EU product legislation, as different safety, EMC, radio, environmental or documentation requirements can apply. 24hour-AR reviews your existing reports and identifies which evidence can be retained, which standards need updating and where further testing is required.

This gives US manufacturers one central compliance partner instead of separate providers for each step. Where we act as your Authorised Representative, we hold your compliance documentation and act as the point of contact for EU market surveillance authorities, alongside our own obligations under the written mandate and applicable legislation. 24hour-AR is not a Notified Body and does not issue CE certificates; where independent testing or third-party conformity assessment is required, we identify the correct procedure and guide you to it.

Manufacturers outside the EU need an economic operator established in the EU for products covered by legislation such as the GPSR and Regulation (EU) 2019/1020. Depending on your sales structure, this role can be fulfilled by an EU importer, an Authorised Representative or, in certain circumstances, a fulfilment service provider. 24hour-AR assesses your products and sales structure and confirms which role applies to you.

The applicable EU requirements depend on the product type, intended use, technical features and target users, not on the country of manufacture.
